You’ll be warmly welcome at Knockerdown Cottages during your weekend wedding. We are an LGBTQ+ friendly, same-sex wedding venue in Derbyshire, ideally located on the doorstep to the picturesque Peak District National Park.

Our gay friendly wedding venue features a large indoor events space for 100 people, onsite wedding guest accommodation and superb onsite facilities such as social lounge with games room, indoor heated swimming pool, outdoor children’s play area and more. We are a self catering weekend wedding venue with no corkage fees!

Whether you’re wanting to have an outdoor ceremony beneath our outdoor gazebo with bench seating and countryside views or prefer the comfort of an indoor wedding celebration inside our events space, Knockerdown Cottages offers plenty of flexible wedding spaces to suit your style.

The Brackendale room seamlessly connects to the Brackendale outdoor terrace, creating the perfect setting for an open-air drinks’ reception, ideal for summer nights.

Another versatile breakout space to use for wedding celebrations is the social lounge with games room, great for relaxed gatherings, evening entertainment or as an indoor drinks’ reception with pop-up bar.

Leave behind the hassle of figuring out how everyone gets home, with weekend weddings at Knockerdown Cottages, you can enjoy our onsite guest accommodation. With 16 individual self catering cottages sleeping up to 93 guests, your friends and family can stay onsite and be part of every moment, from welcome drinks and late-night laughter to morning-after-breakfasts.

Our location also makes for the perfect base to explore Derbyshire and the Peak District. Guests can enjoy scenic walks, charming market towns and cosy country pubs, including the one just across the road.

Enjoy our superb onsite facilities during your weekend wedding, all included in your price. Take a refreshing swim in our indoor heated swimming pool, or challenge friends and family to a game of table tennis. There is also our outdoor children’s play area which provides a safe and enjoyable space for younger guests during the weekend.

The spacious private meadow is great for hosting outdoor wedding activities during summer weddings. We have also recently added an enclosed dog run area, ideal for letting your four-legged friends run off some energy.
