    From the North

    Step Direction
    1 From the north (M1), exit at J28.
    2 Take the A38 towards Derby.
    3 Take the A610 signposted Ambergate.
    4 Turn right onto the A6 signposted Cromford and Matlock.
    5 At Cromford, turn left onto the B5036 towards Wirksworth.
    6 Follow the B5036 for approximately 2 miles.
    7 At the top of the hill, take the right-hand turn onto the B5035, signposted Ashbourne and Carsington Water.
    8 Travel on the B5035 for approximately 5 miles.
    9 Knockerdown Farm is located on the right-hand side, just after the Knockerdown Inn (situated on the left).
    10 Our entrance is immediately opposite the turnoff for Carsington Water.

    Step Direction
    1 From the south (M1), exit at J24.
    2 Take the A50 towards Uttoxeter.
    3 After 20 miles, take the turnoff for Ashbourne (A515).
    4 In Ashbourne, take the B5035 towards Wirksworth and Carsington Water.
    5 Knockerdown Cottages are situated approximately 5 miles out of Ashbourne, on the left-hand side of the road, immediately opposite the turnoff for Carsington Water.
