Mobility Impairment

Here at Knockerdown we do not have a fully accessible cottage yet but we would like to help with your requirements if possible.  Access to our cottages and facilities are on loose gravel and/or cobbles on a level surface. You can drive up to a cottage to unload before parking in the car park. All properties have zip and link beds so you can choose if you want doubles or twins. Please get in touch to discuss your mobility needs.

We are happy for you to hire anything for the cottage but we ask that you liaise with us check any equipment will fit. This could be from a wheelchair to a seat for the bath. Please click on the link below for a website that hires out equipment. There are also a couple of links for taxi firms that have accessible taxis.

Two Dales was originally two cottages, that has now been converted into one spacious cottage sleeping up to 11 guests, with beautiful exposed beams and brick walls. The large open plan lounge, kitchen and dining area, makes it an ideal cottage for a family or friends get together. 

With 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Bedroom 1 is located on the ground floor and features an en suite shower room, making it ideal for anyone in your group with mobility concerns. The shower has a small step up (please look and photos) and is fitted with handrails for added safety and support. 

Bedroom 2 and 3 and one of the bathrooms are up one set of stairs and the 4th bedroom along with a separate bathroom is up the second set of stairs. 

There is a step at the front door to access Two Dales and some cobbles leading up to the door, which have been cemented in between.

Farwell cottage, sleeps 8, and has a downstairs bedroom with en suite bath with shower over. This bedroom also has French doors out onto the patio and a separate front door if needed.

Longshawe - This ground floor self catering holiday cottage sleeping up to 4 guests, has lovely original features including beautiful exposed beams. Open plan lounge and dining area and a separate kitchen, with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. 

The en suite bathroom has bath, with shower over, WC and wash basin.

The family bathroom has bath with shower over, WC and wash basin.

Bonsall - This quaint ground floor one bedroom self catering holiday cottage, with beautiful exposed beams and brickwork, sleeps up to 4 guests and is a dog friendly cottage sleeping up to 2 well behaved dogs. The bathroom is spacious and has a shower over the bath.
