The best way to check availability and secure a booking is to contact our helpful team with your preferred dates and guest numbers. Short provisional holds are available while you confirm plans internally. A deposit secures your booking, with the remaining balance due before arrival.

No, Knockerdown is an exclusive use, self-managed DIY venue rather than a fully serviced hotel. You hire the entire site privately and have the freedom to run your offsite your way, including catering, activities and schedule. This flexibility is what makes the experience unique.

There is no dedicated event team onsite as standard. You have the full private use of the venue to manage your event independently.

If you would like support, we can recommend trusted suppliers such as caterers, event staff, facilitators, and activity providers.

Yes, while the venue is self-managed, we can connect you with experienced partners who can help with catering, staffing, entertainment, and team-building activities.

You can keep things simple and self-run or build a fully supported experience.

It means your group has private access to the entire site, including all the cottages, event spaces, facilities, grounds with no other guests onsite.

We’ll set the space up ready for your arrival. During your stay, many teams choose to adapt the layout themselves to suit different parts of their offsite. Our onsite corporate accommodation consists of 16 self catering cottages, sleeping up to 80 guests with flexible room layouts including twins and doubles.

Yes, all our cottages are fully equipped for self catering, making them ideal for relaxed corporate stays or informal dining.

Yes, we have 9 dog friendly cottages (maximum 2 dogs per cottage). The first 2 dogs are free with additional dogs costing £30 each per stay. Please nominate someone responsible for pet care.

No, at Knockerdown Cottages you have the complete flexibility to choose your own catering suppliers. You have the option of:

  • Self cater using the cottage kitchens

  • Bring in your own caterers or private chefs - there is a central kitchen off the large events space

  • Use our trusted catering partner, My Peak Event to build your own catering package

The catering options available through our partners include private chef hire, self serve meals, and mobile catering such as pizza vans and hog roasts.

Yes, as a no corkage venue, you are welcome to bring your own drinks and you can even borrow our mobile bar. Selling alcohol onsite is not permitted.

Yes, you’re free to organise your own team building, entertainment or facilitators, or we can recommend trusted suppliers.

No, all amplified music must be played inside the large events space.

Yes, in the large events space. Music must end at midnight (Mon-Sat) or 11pm (Sun), with guests leaving within 30 minutes.

A cable is provided for laptops or mobile devices. Select external output if needed on your device and unplug cables when not in use.

Yes, you’re welcome to personalise the space. Please use hooks where available and avoid adhesives on walls.

We ask that items aren’t attached directly to the walls or floors of the venue. We ask:

  • Walls: No adhesives, pins or Blu-Tack

  • Floors: No taped cables - please see cable covers

  • Freestanding Displays: Such as easels, boards, and AV setups are recommended

No, for health and safety reasons, please bring your own. Do not stand on chairs.

No naked flames are permitted. Battery-operated candles are a safe alternative.

The hirer is responsible for all guests. Please nominate a responsible person for your event.

Yes, all suppliers must provide Public Liability Insurance and risk assessments. Bars require a TENS licence. Entry may be refused without documentation.

Arrival, Departure & Housekeeping

  • Large Events Space: Typically from 9am on arrival day until 5pm on departure (subject to availability). We do our best to be flexible within timings to meet your needs, please get in touch with our events team to discuss your bespoke request

  • Cottages: Available from 4pm once housekeeping is complete

Cottages must be vacated by 10am on departure day so our housekeeping team can start the cleaning.

Yes, towels are provided. One towel per guest is provided in cottages. Pool towels are not included, so don’t forget to advise your team to bring their own.

Knockerdown may be less suitable if you’re looking for a fully serviced, hands-off hotel-style experience where everything is pre-arranged and managed onsite.

We have 16 holiday cottages onsite, accommodating up to 80 guests in total across 42 bedrooms and 31 bathrooms. A mix of double, twin and flexible bed arrangements means we can suit a variety of team setups, just let us know what works best for your group.

Our event space is completely flexible. We’ll set up your initial layout before you arrive, and from there you’re free to adapt the space throughout your stay, whether that’s switching from a meeting setup to dining, breakout sessions or something more relaxed.

We provide tables, chairs, and one set of black wipe-clean tablecloths as part of your hire. If you’d prefer a different look, you’re welcome to hire our white linen or bring your own tablecloths, or simply keep things minimal. It’s completely up to you and your chosen style.

We’re set within the beautiful Derbyshire countryside with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy. From informal team activities and breakout sessions to simply unwinding in the fresh air, there’s lots of room to make the most of being away from the office. These include the terrace outside the large events space, large outdoor meadow, courtyard and the individual cottage picnic benches.
