The wedding gazebo booking is made and accepted on the following usage conditions:
- Use of the wedding gazebo for a wedding ceremony is weather permitting. The final decision on whether the ceremony can proceed outdoors lies with the Registrar.
- At 9 am on the morning of the wedding, Knockerdown Cottages will assess the weather and decide whether to proceed with setting up the outdoor equipment.
- After this time, it remains at the discretion of Knockerdown Cottages to proceed with a delayed outdoor setup, depending on weather improvement.
- No refunds will be given if the ceremony cannot take place outdoors due to weather conditions.
- No decorations may be nailed, stapled, or permanently fixed to the timber wedding gazebo frame. Any unauthorised damage will incur a fine of £250.
Gazebo Benches and Equipment:
- The wedding gazebo benches are strictly for use during the ceremony and may be placed anywhere on the back meadow where the ground is flat.
- Benches will be set in position the day before your arrival and must not be moved once placed. They will remain in the same location until your departure day.
- Benches must not be used at any other location on site, due to pegging requirements for health & safety regulations.
- If benches are located away from the wedding gazebo structure, no associated ceremony equipment (such as the microphones or the aisle poles) can be transferred to an alternative location.
- The microphones and aisle pole bases are permanently fixed for use only with the wedding gazebo area, and no additional ground holes will be created elsewhere on the meadow.
- Knockerdown Cottages event staff will make reasonable efforts to keep benches dry, but cannot guarantee weather protection.
