Fire Safety

A fire extinguisher and a fire blanket are located in the kitchen area within each property, please familiarise yourself with the location of these upon check in. The properties are fitted with smoke detectors for your safety, these are not linked to the emergency services. If a fire is detected by automatic detectors, this will trigger the alarm. For your safety we advise you to close all doors before going to bed and check that all appliances and lights are turned off. Please note the use of candles and smoking is not permitted inside the properties. Do not hesitate to call the emergency services if required. The fire assembly point is located in the middle of the left-hand car park.

Children’s Play Area

Please ensure that children are supervised at all times. We will not accept responsibility for any accident or injury sustained whilst using the play equipment.

General Safety Around the Site

Please be aware of the Old Plough, this is for display purposes only and not to be climbed on. Please be aware of low walls and steps these may be slippery and should also not be climbed on. Please be aware of the gate that leads out onto the main road, behind Two Dales cottage,  this goes directly out on to the main road.

Barbecue

For your safety we ask that you do not leave BBQ's unattended, (Keep a bucket of water or sand nearby for emergencies) Never use a barbecue indoors & make sure your barbecue is well away from sheds, fences, shrubs or garden waste. Only use enough charcoal to cover the base of the barbecue. Ensure the barbecue is cool before moving it. Empty the ashes onto bare garden soil and not into wheelie bins as burning embers could cause a fire. Don't drink too much if you are in charge of the barbecue. Never use petrol or paraffin to start or revive your barbecue; use only recognised lighters or starter fuels on cold coals.

Car Parking

You are welcome to take your car to your cottage to unload on arrival and load on departure. However, we do ask that you park your car in the car park at all other times. There is a car park at either side of the driveway.

Cottage Furniture

Please do not move furniture between cottages unless previously arranged with us. If you are part of a group booking, and need to move pots, pans, cutlery, glasses etc., please ensure you return these items to their original cottage before departure.
